Fresh off her Academy Award nomination for The Lost Daughter, Jessie Buckley will next be starring in Ex Machina and Annihilation director Alex Garland‘s Men, coming soon from A24.
“The film follows a young woman who goes on a solo vacation to the English countryside after the death of her ex-husband,” we were told when the project was announced in 2021.
A24 is promising the teaser trailer tomorrow, February 9, and in the meantime they’ve debuted the official poster art today. It comes with the tagline, “What haunts you will find you.”
What exactly is haunting Jessie Buckley in this one? We have no way of knowing, but the poster does seem to suggest *something* hidden deep within a tunnel, potentially an aquatic horror of some kind? The walls of the tunnel look quite a bit like snake skin, it’s interesting to note, and the image all around comes together to form the shape of a human skull, but really all we’re able to do at this point in time is speculate.
