Formerly titled Whistler Camp, John Logan (“Penny Dreadful”) will be making his directorial debut with a new horror film in the works over at Blumhouse Productions, which doesn’t yet have a title at this time. BlumFest 2021 revealed more information about the untitled project today, including more casting news and a 2022 release on Peacock.
It was previously reported that Kevin Bacon will executive produce and star alongside lead Theo Germaine (“The Politician”), and that Anna Chlumsky (“Hannibal”) joined the cast as well. BlumFest announced the additions of Quei Tan, Austin Crute, Anna Lore, Monique Kim, Cooper Koch, Darwin del Fabo in a video, below, that also states that shooting is underway.
The film is “a queer empowerment story set at a gay conversion camp.”
Jason Blum and Michael Aguilar (Penny Dreadful, Kidding) will produce. Ryan Turek is the creative executive overseeing the film for Blumhouse.
The Untitled John Logan Project will head to Peacock in 2022.
