The scare prank show “Scare Tactics” is coming back to life with producer Jordan Peele and his Monkeypaw Productions on board this time around, Deadline reports today.
The hidden camera reality show originally arrived on the scene back in 2003 and later returned in 2008, with hosts including Shannen Doherty, Stephen Baldwin, and Tracy Morgan.
This new iteration of the series will premiere on the USA Network in Fall 2024.
Deadline notes in today’s report, “Peele and his Monkeypaw Productions are producing alongside Universal Television Alternative Studios (UTAS), the unscripted arm of the studio that the Get Out and Nope filmmaker has an overall TV deal with.”
The outlet further previews, “Scare Tactics will turn unsuspecting individuals into the main characters of their very own horror movies. Set up by their friends and family, these unwitting participants are put in twisted scenarios with fully immersive stories that blur the lines of reality, horror and comedy as they navigate one unreal decision after another.”
Elan Gale (“Midnight Mass”) is the showrunner and exec producer of the new “Scare Tactics.”
