Sony’s Kraven the Hunter movie is headed our way this Halloween season, and this week Sony has unleashed the official trailer for the rated “R” movie set in the Marvel universe.
Kraven the Hunter will be the very first Marvel movie from Sony to be released into theaters with an “R” rating, with lots of bloody violence being promised.
During the recent CinemaCon panel, star Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Avengers: Age of Ultron) referred to the project as “a Marvel movie grounded heavily in the real world.”
“Fuck yeah, it will be rated R,” he promised attendees.
Watch the official RED BAND trailer for the Kraven the Hunter movie below, which indeed delivers a level of violence that will most definitely garner the film that “R” rating.
The official trailer introduces Kraven’s origin story, while also treating us to several sequences of bloody mayhem. It also teases Kraven’s nemesis in the film, The Rhino.
Sony’s Columbia Pictures will unleash Kraven the Hunter on October 6, 2023.
Ariana DeBose will play Calypso in the upcoming Kraven the Hunter movie.
Christopher Abbott (Possessor) is playing The Foreigner, with Levi Miller (Better Watch Out) also on board. Alessandro Nivola (The Many Saints of Newark) will play another villain, but character details are under wraps. Russell Crowe and Fred Hechinger also star.
J.C. Chandor (A Most Violent Year) is directing Kraven the Hunter.
The screenplay was written by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk.
