Neil previewed Spiral Circus Games’ upcoming monochromatic underwater horror title Silt a few months back, which now has a release date of June 1st on Steam. We also get the obligatory trailer announcing the release date, but also more footage of the game in action.
Silt was first announced last year during the PC Gaming Showcase, which immediately called to mind Playdead’s LIMBO due to its graphics. However, Silt has more than enough to stand on its own. Players control taking control of a diver searching the deep to uncover long-forgotten mysteries. However, as one might expect, the deep is oppressive, and death comes in an instant.
Luckily, you have the ability to possess the creatures around you to solve puzzles and travel further into the blackened blue. That includes giant deep-sea creatures, whose power you’ll have to harness in order to survive and progress. This is all backed by hand-drawn graphics constructed from the sketches of artist Mr Mead.
And in addition to a PC release, Silt will also see a release on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series and Xbox One consoles.
