In addition to working away at Paranoid and Tormentor, Madmind Studio is also now in collaboration with developer Black Rat Studio on a new IP. As reported by Rely On Horror, Madmind will publish HELP ME!, a story-driven first-person horror title with stealth puzzle elements for PC via Steam.
Powered by Unreal Engine 5, HELP ME! is set in present-day Moscow, Russia, and follows a man named Maxim as he tries to find his missing father. The only connection to his father’s disappearance is Maxim’s mysterious nightmares. However, as more family secrets are revealed, the more the line between dreams and reality blurs.
At the moment, the game is still in its infancy (though you can check out the initial screenshots of the game over at Rely On Horror). The plan right now is to have a Kickstarter in mid-2022, where players will decide how expansive HELP ME! will become. Backers will also get access to a demo of the game to gain an overall sense of the project.
Meanwhile, you’ll be able to get a glimpse of HELP ME! later this week, when the game will be shown during the MADNIGHT 2021: Horror Showcase on December 16, a collaboration between Rely On Horror, Madmind Studio, and several developers. In addition to HELP ME!, the event will also include peeks at Paranoid, Tormentor, and other titles from Madmind.
