Mandela Catalogue-inspired FPS ‘My Imaginary Friend’ Announced For October 30 Release [Trailer]

If you’re familiar with YouTuber Alex Kister‘s Mandela Catalogue, then xushizhang’s upcoming first-person shooter My Imaginary Friend will no doubt pique your interest. While the core of the game revolves around first-person shooter mechanics, combat alone won’t save you.

The story of My Imaginary Friend begins innocently enough. You play as a character who was once a lonely child, who in using their imagination to cope, has created imaginary friends for comfort. However, those “friends” have become twisted into a terrifying presence that knows your deepest fears.

Survival hinges on your ability to solve complex puzzles that tie directly into the game’s narrative. Each level requires a blend of quick thinking, exploration, and puzzle-solving to progress. The puzzles aren’t just obstacles, mind you. They’re psychological tests that reflect your character’s deepest fears and anxieties, challenging your perceptions of reality where nothing is safe. You’ll need to do everything you can to keep your friend from crossing into reality.

My Imaginary Friend is currently slated for an October 30 release on Steam.
