Mary Elizabeth Winstead is the title character in Netflix‘s upcoming action-thriller Kate, a female assassin who has just 24 hours to get vengeance on her murderer before she dies.
Kate will premiere on Netflix September 10, and the Rated “R” movie has debuted three official clips today. You’ll find them down below, with the first establishing the dynamic between Kate and a teenager she befriends in the movie, the second introducing Woody Harrelson‘s character, and the third giving us a small taste of a fight sequence from the film.
“Meticulous and preternaturally skilled, Kate is the perfect specimen of a finely tuned assassin at the height of her game. But when she uncharacteristically blows an assignment targeting a member of the yakuza in Tokyo, she quickly discovers she’s been poisoned, a brutally slow execution that gives her less than 24 hours to exact revenge on her killers. As her body swiftly deteriorates, Kate forms an unlikely bond with the teenage daughter of one of her past victims. Kate follows a burned assassin’s furious pursuit of one last self-appointed job.”
Woody Harrelson, Miku Martineau, Tadanobu Asano, Michiel Huisman, and Jun Kunimura also star in Kate, directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan (The Huntsman: Winter’s War).
Umair Aleem wrote the script.
