An animated series and toy line from the ’90s, the “Street Sharks” were half-man/half-shark monsters that fought crime back in the ’90s, and they’re soon coming back into our lives.
Mattel Creations will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Street Sharks with a brand new retro toy line that’s said to be “aimed at nostalgic adult collectors.”
Preternia lets us know today that the 30th Anniversary Street Sharks action figures are “going up for preorder on Friday (3/15) as part of Walmart Collector Con.”
Action figures inspired by three beloved characters, Ripster, Jab, and Slash will also be available at Amazon, Big Bad Toy Store, Entertainment Earth, and Diamond Collectibles.
These will be selling for $24.99 each, and you can preview the fresh lineup below!
- Half shark, half man, fighting evil, that’s the plan for these fin-tastic nostalgic action figures.
- 2024 will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the animated Street Sharks TV show.
- Collector-focused but kid-friendly, these figures feature real feel skin, modern articulation, chomping jaws and modular shark cage accessories that can fit together to form larger cages.
- These 6 to 6.5-inch tall toys are sure to appeal to collectors who grew up watching the crime-fighting super-heroes.
The company tells us this afternoon, “In addition to new toys, Mattel is amplifying this moment by releasing exclusive Street Sharks apparel available at MattelCreations, and throughout the year, Mattel will be partnering with industry leaders on fashion collabs, comic books, collectibles and more. Street Sharks fandom encapsulates the resurgence of 90’s nostalgia, and we believe now is the time to inspire the next generation of fans.”
Walmart Collector Con kicks off tomorrow, March 14.
