Heading for a release in Norway, below we have a series of character posters for writer/director Eskil Vogt’s The Innocents, which is still seeking U.S. distribution out of the Cannes market. Protagonist Pictures is handling worldwide sales.
“The film takes place during a summer in Norway where a group of children (ages 6 to 12) reveal their dark and mysterious powers when the adults aren’t looking.”
The film stars Rakel Fløttum, Alva Ramstad, Ismail Ashraf, Mina Asheim and Ellen Dorrit Petersen.
The supernatural thriller is Vogt’s second feature as a director following Blind, which won a screenwriting prize at Sundance 2014, noted ScreenDaily when announced.
“I think kids are beyond good and evil or rather before good and evil. But I don’t think children are little angels, that people are born pure. I think children are born without any sense of empathy or morals, we have to teach them that.”
Director and scriptwriter Eskil Vogt said in a brand new interview ahead of Cannes.
Below are the posters with a brand new image from the film in the story’s header.
