The Outsiders’ Metal: Hellsinger has been in the works for a while now, and just when you were wondering about its whereabouts, it shows up at the Summer Game Fest with a new trailer. Not only that, but the rhythm-based first-person shooter now has a September 15 release date for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
In case you need reminding, Metal: Hellsinger‘s premise is simple: the game is a first-person rhythm shooter where you embody the fury of metal music and vengeance as The Unknown. You’re out to get the Red Judge, ruler of the Hells, who has stolen your voice. But to get to her, you’ve got to bust your way out of eight levels of Hell as you slay to the beat of the game’s soundtrack. Speaking of which, the soundtrack features the likes of Matt Heafy (Trivium), Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), Randy Blythe (Lamb of God), Tatiana Shmayluk (Jinjer), Serj Tankian (System of a Down) and more.
If you’re looking to try the game out before you plunk your money down, you’re in luck. Metal: Hellsinger now has a demo available across all platforms.
