After working exclusively with Netflix the past several years on “The Haunting of Hill House,” “The Haunting of Bly Manor,” “Midnight Mass” and “The Midnight Club,” Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy‘s Intrepid Pictures has found a new home at Amazon Studios, Deadline reports.
As part of the exclusive multiyear overall series deal that Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy have now inked as their previous multiyear Netflix deal comes to an end, “the duo will develop and produce projects via their Intrepid Pictures company, which will exclusively stream on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.”
“Mike and Trevor are remarkable at telling immersive, suspenseful stories that masterfully keep audiences engaged from start to finish,” said Vernon Sanders, head of global television at Amazon Studios. “We are excited to welcome them to Amazon Studios and are looking forward to our global customers experiencing their genre-bending creativity.”
“Amazon is a studio that we have long admired,” said Flanagan and Macy. “Their commitment to engaging in groundbreaking series and content aligns with the ethos of what we have built at Intrepid. We are looking forward to working with the entire Amazon team as we bring our brand of genre productions to the service and audiences around the globe.”
Still to come from Flanagan and Macy at Netflix is next year’s “The Fall of the House of Usher,” a brand new horror series based on the classic works of Edgar Allan Poe.
