Fresh off writing The Batman for Warner Bros/DC, Mattson Tomlin set up his feature directorial debut, a sci-fi/thriller starring Chloe Grace Moretz titled Mother/Android.
In the film, “Moretz stars as Georgia who, with her boyfriend Sam (Algee Smith), goes on a treacherous journey to escape their country, which is caught in an unexpected war with artificial intelligence. Days away from the arrival of their first child, the couple must face No Man’s Land— a stronghold of the android uprising, in hopes of reaching safety before giving birth.”
The Batman and Cloverfield director Matt Reeves produces through 6th & Idaho.
Hailing out of Miramax, Hulu is bringing the robot apocalypse to the streaming platforms on December 17.
Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive clip from the film in which we see Moretz narrowly escape a pair of evil androids. As John Squires previously noted, this film has serious zombie vibes.
