Coming soon to Peacock, Betty Gilpin (The Hunt) has been set to star in a series titled “Mrs. Davis,” which sounds like it has some intriguing genre elements in play.
The Warner Brothers Television series comes from Damon Lindelof (“Lost,” “Watchmen,” The Hunt) and Tara Hernandez (“The Big Bang Theory”).
Variety reports this afternoon, “The plot details are largely being kept under wraps, beyond the fact that it will be an exploration of faith vs. technology. To that end, Gilpin will play a nun who goes to battle against an all-powerful A.I.”
Owen Harris (“Black Mirror: San Junipero”) is executive producing “Mrs. Davis” for Peacock, and he’ll also be directing “multiple episodes” including the pilot episode.
