Fresh off a big Super Bowl win, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce continues making headlines this week, this time because he’s breaking into the movie business.
Travis Kelce is executive producing feature film My Dead Friend Zoe, Variety reports this afternoon, which is being billed as a dark comedy. It’s set to premiere at SXSW 2024.
Natalie Morales, Ed Harris and Morgan Freeman star.
Directed by Kyle Hausmann-Stokes, the upcoming low-budget dark comedy My Dead Friend Zoe follows a female Afghanistan veteran (Morales) who comes head-to-head with her Vietnam vet grandfather (Harris) at the family’s ancestral lake house.
Variety notes in their report that My Dead Friend Zoe is notably the first film production to take advantage of the Inflation Reduction Act, which you can read more about here.
