Still haven’t checked out RoboCop: Rogue City yet? Nacon has revealed that since the game’s launch on November 2nd, Rogue City has become the publisher’s best ever launch. Per a new press release and new Accolades trailer, RoboCop: Rogue City garnered over 435,000 players in the space of 2 weeks, and racked up 2.7 million active game sessions. That’s on top of earning 92% positive reviews on Steam.
According to Nacon CEO Alain Falc, Rogue City has exceeded the publisher’s expectations. “We are really proud to have been able to work with the studio Teyon on this game created by and for RoboCop die-hards. We would also like to thank MGM for the trust they placed in us throughout this collaboration, as well as all the players who have contributed to making this release such a great success.”
It was obvious that the team at Teyon put a lot of love into the game, given the numerous references to the series that players have been finding. Not just from the obvious fact that Peter Weller returned to voice RoboCop, but also the the locations, weapons and characters from the series sprinkled throughout the game.
Even in our own review of the game, Reyna refers to Rogue City as “an authentic RoboCop experience”, and one that treats the IP “with the respect and care that it deserves”.
RoboCop: Rogue City is available now for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
