Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong publisher Nacon has announced the creation of a new label for its Italian development studio: Nacon Studio Milan. While this in itself might not be such a big deal, according to the press release, Nacon Studio Milan will be developing a new survival game that will be based on “one of the world’s most popular film franchises.”
Now, if you’re curious about this, what’s even more interesting is what Gematsu had discovered from some of the concept art that was released for the project. While it’s far from a surety, one of the concept pieces has a familiar sign in it that points to what the studio might be working on:
For those unaware, that same Alamo Sport Shop sign in the above concept image was in The Terminator:
Now obviously, it’s not a guarantee that this is a Terminator game, but who wouldn’t want to see more games involving the T-800 and company? After all, Slitherine has their own real-time strategy game coming out later this year using the Terminator license.
Furthermore, Nacon had announced last year that they were working on RoboCop: Rogue City for a 2023 release, so perhaps in a wild “wishful thinking” moment, could we have another RoboCop vs. The Terminator game? Probably not, but it’d be fun to imagine.
Meanwhile, the Big Bad Wolf Studio-developed Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is set for release on May 19 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store. The game will also be headed to the Nintendo Switch at a later date.
