NECA recently announced that they’ve acquired the license to make action figures based on the ’90s animated series “Gargoyles,” which was produced by Walt Disney Television and centered on literal stone gargoyles that come to life and transform into protectors of NYC at night. Three seasons were produced in total, with fans frequently still begging for its return.
Up first from NECA’s line was main character Goliath, the gargoyle voiced by Keith David in the Disney series, and we’ve also gotten a preview of Demona, voiced by Marina Sirtis.
This week, NECA is teasing the addition of Thailog with some first look images, who was also voiced by Keith David. NECA reminds, “Thailog was created with genetic material stolen from clan leader Goliath — as a result he is just as strong and intelligent but utterly evil thanks to Xanatos’ subliminal indoctrination.
“The Thailog action figure measures 8 inches with a wingspan of 16 inches! The figure features full articulation, including on wings and tail, and comes with plenty of accessories: briefcase with removable money, flare gun, and interchangeable heads and hands. Comes in display-friendly window box packaging with opening flap.”
Look for this latest “Gargoyles” figure in January 2022.
The series originally aired from October 24, 1994, to February 15, 1997.
