Last week as part of their “31 Nights of Fright” reveals, NECA gave us a first-look at a new toy line that mashes together the Universal Monsters and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the first time since the 1990s, with the first reveal turning Raphael into Frankenstein.
The second toy, shown off by NECA this week, turns Leonardo into Ygor, also known as The Hunchback of Notre Dame! NECA teases, “He’s the brains behind the Monster… and has the jar to prove it.” They’re also promising “more information to come in early 2022.”
The original Universal Monsters x TMNT line from Playmates featured Leonardo as The Wolfman, Raphael as The Mummy, Michaelangelo as Frankenstein’s Monster, and Donatello as Dracula, as well as April as the Bride of Frankenstein, Leonardo as the Creature from the Black Lagoon, Michaelangelo as The Invisible Man, and Raphael as the Metaluna Mutant.
