Netflix announced a brand new adult animated comedy series that looks to carry quite a few nods to the horror genre.
Inside Job, which premieres this fall on the streaming service, features the voice talent of “Castle Rock” and Cloverfield‘s Lizzy Caplan, and brings all kinds of crazy government conspiracies to life.
Bloody Disgusting has the first-look photos, which not only put Caplan’s character inside a power loader from James Cameron’s Aliens, but also show what appears to be Stanley Kubrick‘s dead body frozen alongside dozens of other deceased celebrities – I suppose Walt Disney is there too?
There’s also a tribute to Cannon Films and the promise of reptilian invaders. There’s a ton to unpack here and we can’t wait for the trailer.
“Inside Job is an adult animated comedy about the shadow government– and the dysfunctional team whose daily grind is committing the world’s conspiracies. From convoluted coverups to secret societies to masked orgy etiquette, navigating office culture at Cognito Inc. can be tricky, especially for anti-social tech genius Reagan Ridley. Even in a workplace filled with reptilian shapeshifters and psychic mushrooms, she’s seen as the odd one out for believing the world could be a better place. Reagan thinks she can make a difference, if only she could manage her unhinged, manifesto-writing father, her irresponsible coworkers, and finally snag the promotion she’s been dreaming about.”
Christian Slater, Clark Duke, Andrew Daly, Bobby Lee, John DiMaggio, Tisha Campbell and Brett Gelman also star.
Created by Shion Takeuchi, the 10-episode series premieres Friday, October 22.
