Netflix will raise hell in April 2025 when their anime adaptation of Devil May Cry arrives on the service. The announcement was part of a new trailer for the anime, which is being handled by Korean animation company Studio Mir and creator Adi Shankar.
While it’s certainly not the same style of animation as the 2007 anime series, the trailer does provide plenty of eye candy. Namely, Dante flipping about and flashing his moves, gunplay (no Ebony and Ivory, though), and demons.
It’s still unclear as to what the story for the series will be. The appearance of the White Rabbit from the Devil May Cry 3 manga “Code 1: Dante” seems to suggest that the anime takes place before the events of the first game, but that’s speculation on our part.
The announcement for Devil May Cry adaptation comes on the heels of Netflix announcing that the second season of Castlevania: Nocturne will also be arriving in 2025.
