This article contains Scream (2022) spoilers.
If you’ve seen the brand new Scream movie, which is on its way to $100 million at the worldwide box office, you know that not all legacy characters make it out of the movie alive. But one character who does survive this latest brush with the Ghostface killer is Neve Campbell‘s Sidney Prescott, a longtime survivor who has been through it all… several times.
So what does Campbell think about the future of the Scream franchise on the big screen? And would she be up for returning at least one more time in another sequel down the road?
Campbell tells THR, “It’s down to the strength of the story. I wouldn’t want to do it unless the script is good. It would be hard. (Laughs.) But these guys did really well on this one, so I’m curious to see what would come next. So we’ll see.”
The one thing Campbell *doesn’t* want to see next, however?
“I certainly would hate to see Sidney fall. I think it would be the wrong message,” Campbell explains to the outlet. “She’s been through enough! That’s for sure.”
