Indie developer Lilith Walther is still plugging away at their Bloodborne Kart fan project, which recently had a new gameplay trailer released showcasing Micolash, Host of the Nightmare as a playable character. Micolash is also featured in the game’s campaign mode as a boss battle, which Lilith posted a thread on Twitter and the project’s Patreon explaining the development process on the fight.
And much like in the original Bloodborne, in the Bloodborne Kart campaign mode, players will have to resort to chasing Micolash into dead-ends. Only this time, you’ll have the added benefit of being on your bike.
The game’s campaign mode will have the player progress through levels, which will be tied together with a little bit of story (as much story as having Bloodborne characters in vehicles will allow). Bloodborne Kart will feature three level types in races, battles, and special. The “special” type will put the player in unique situations like the Micolash boss fight.
Beating levels will reward the player with racer and kart unlocks, blood echoes to level up, and insight, with the amounts depending on your performance in that level. Collecting all of the insight will unlock “something special at the end.”
There’s no release date as of yet, but with a project this unique (especially after Lilith’s Bloodborne PSX demake), one could take all the time they need.
Thanks to DSOGaming for the heads up!
