On the heels of the launch of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, Capcom has turned to fans to gauge what title from their back catalogue they’d like to see get the “deluxe remaster” treatment next. The survey is currently available from now until October 18, and along with answering the survey, will nab you a digital wallpaper just for participating.
The first couple of questions are expectedly focused on Dead Rising itself, asking fans what other titles in the series they’ve purchased, where they heard about the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, have they played it, and so on.
The kicker questions happen at the end, with the first being if you would like to see more “deluxe remaster” titles like this in the future, with “deluxe remasters” being defined as remasters with improved playability and updated graphics, including new 3D models. The follow-up question lists off select series from Capcom’s back catalogue that you’d like to see get this “deluxe remaster” treatment, including Dino Crisis, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Onimusha and Darkstalkers.
The final Dead Rising-specific question of the survey asks fans if they want more releases in the series in the future. That includes “deluxe remasters” of past games in the series, a remake, or a brand new entry. Keep in mind that when compared to other titles in Capcom’s library, the Dead Rising series hasn’t had the best success. The best-selling of the series is 2013’s Dead Rising 3, and that currently ranks 27th in Capcom’s list of Platinum Titles with just over 3.6 million units sold across PC and consoles, so it’s not a guarantee.
Still, it was a surprise that we even got this Deluxe Remaster, so anything’s possible.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is out now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series. A physical edition for PlayStation 5 will be arriving in November.
