Bonsai Collective has announced a brand-new Extended Demo for their upcoming cosmic horror shooter Luna Abyss. Showcasing brand new content that “unveils a mystery at the heart” of the shooter, the demo can be snagged over on the Luna Abyss Steam page.
The never-before-seen content sheds more light on both Aylin and Fawkes characters’ role within the lore of Luna Abyss, while also giving a sneak preview at a brand-new character integral to the game’s story. “As players will discover, those who step out into The Abyss will be tasked with uncovering the mysteries of the mimic moon-turned-prison planet, as well as the chasm within its depths.”
The Luna Abyss Extended Demo is set in the depths of Sorrows Canyon, a region on the fringes of the explored Abyss, where main protagonist Fawkes is sent on their first mission as a prisoner. You’ll be able to engage in “high-octane combat, thrilling traversal, and mysterious story elements” in this extended demo.
“We really wanted to reveal just a little more mystery of what Luna Abyss has to offer, and what better way than allowing players to jump into the game and explore the depth of the Abyss themselves,” says Benni Hill, Creative Director at Bonsai Collective. “We can’t wait to hear what players think of the strange events that are in store for them!”
Luna Abyss puts you in the boots of Fawkes, a prisoner sentenced to explore a derelict megastructure that sprawls deep beneath the surface of the mimic moon Luna. Tasked with recovering technology from within the megastructure and discovering what happened to the colony, you’ll be monitored on your mission by the artificial prison guard know as Aylin. However, you soon find out that Aylin isn’t the only one watching you.
No release date has been announced as of yet for Luna Abyss, which is currently in development for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
