With production on M3GAN 2.0 underway, and Chucky still waiting on that fourth season, developers Vecube Studio and Spirit Games Studio decided to give those anticipating their psychological horror title Puppet House a bit of a production update, as well as drop a new trailer.
The devs plan are still aiming to release Puppet House later this year to Steam for players to experience the “camp-style horror adventure” as soon as possible. The latest trailer offers up a glimpse into the gameplay and mystery of the house haunted the pint-sized terror from hell, as well as adding that little bit of cheese that admittedly we all love.
In Puppet House, you will take on the role of Rick Evans, a detective whose interest in haunted places has led him to Field Town, and the home of Peter Hill, a famed ventriloquist who has long since departed this life. Everyone in the town talked about the place, many of them even tried to get inside. Articles have been written about disappearances and screams coming from the walls of the abandoned house, and Rick aims to clear the air about these stories.
Puppet House sports a “sense of unease” that aims to be balanced with a touch of B-movie horror humor that “evokes the charm of classic 80s and 90s horror movies and games.” Players can expect over-the-top scares and a killer puppet antagonist that’s as creepy as it is absurd. The combination of scares and humor aspires to ensure that Puppet House “delivers an unforgettable horror experience that will both thrill and entertain.”
