New Gameplay Videos Delve Further Into Upcoming Survival Adventure Title ‘Serum’; Next Fest Demo Extended to February 19th [Watch]

Developer Game Island and publisher Toplitz Productions have dropped more information on their upcoming first person survival adventure game Serum in the form of additional gameplay videos. Joining the “5 Reasons to Play” video released last week during Steam Next Fest, the additional gameplay videos cover survival tactics, the various threats you’ll be facing, and the vital resources you’ll need to discover in order to survive the world of Serum.

Along with the new videos, Game Island noted in their press release that Serum enjoyed quite the reception during Steam Next Fest, ranking among the top 50 most played demos out of the nearly 1150 demos available during the event. In addition, Serum scored an impressive 17th place in the list of most-followed demos during the event.

In fact, Game Island has decided to extend the availability of the Next Fest demo, making it available to play until February 19th.

Serum‘s main game mechanic centres around the mysterious elixir (serum) that is crucial to your survival in an infected world, and a lifeline that has a curing effect of the Blight, a man-made catastrophic event that has devastated the world. Against the urgency of time, Serum aims to push players to discover how this vital liquid can prolong their existence, amplify their abilities, and enhance their hand crafted arsenal of weaponry.

Serum is currently aiming for release later this year.
