We’re all stoked for Tango Gameworks’ Ghostwire: Tokyo, which had a pre-launch trailer revealed during Sony’s State of Play yesterday. The trailer provides the basis of the game’s story, including the mysterious Hannya’s plan to harvest the souls of Tokyo in order to connect our world to the next, and player protagonist Akido attempting to stop him. And just to spice things up, Hannya has Akido’s sister, Mari.
Along with showing off the visuals of the game, the pre-launch trailer for Ghostwire: Tokyo also demonstrates Akido’s power of Ethereal Weaving in action. As was detailed before, Akido’s Ethereal Weaving abilities allow him to master raw Ether, including wind, fire, and water. These abilities can be upgraded and enhanced throughout the game.
Ghostwire: Tokyo will arrive March 25 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. And if you want more to keep you sated until release, check out Ghostwire: Tokyo – Prelude, a free visual novel available now on PS4 and PS5.
Also, keep an eye out for Neil’s preview of the game!
