The second free update for Black Salt Games’ Lovecraftian fishing game DREDGE is now live, bringing with it additional two new modes in the Passive Mode and Photo Mode, as well as new deep-sea aberrations, wildlife events, and a new monster.
The addition of a photo mode has been a regularly requested feature since DREDGE launched back in March, but the developers have added a bit of a twist with their version. Before players can get to snapping pictures of nautical life while visually documenting their findings on the open sea, they’ll first have to fish for a piece of equipment and exchange it with a new islander, a photographer, for the new device.
Meanwhile, for those gamers who are more into a casual sailing of the open sea and fishing, and wanting to avoid the Eldritch horrors in DREDGE, there’s the new Passive Mode. This new update to DREDGE also introduces a further 10 aberrations ready to be caught, together with their less frightful counterparts, as well as new wildlife events to observe. And of course, there’s a new monster from the deep that’s also been added for those looking for more Lovecraft content.
Still to come is the paid DLC pack later this year that introduces the mysterious Ironhaven Corporation.
DREDGE is available now digitally on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
