With the latest edition of Steam Next Fest now underway, Wired Productions and developer Pollard Studio have released the demo for their upcoming psychological horror title KARMA: The Dark World. As one might expect, the demo offers a preview of what the full game has to offer, with its unsettling atmosphere and complex narrative.
Alongside the demo, Pollard Studio has also unveiled an exclusive Alternate Reality Game (ARG) that aims to further expand the narrative of KARMA: The Dark World beyond the screen. Players can visit the ARG website, where they’ll be presented with a prompt to enter a login for Leviathan Corp’s employee portal (hint: use Lamb00 as the Username, and TGtU5re79L as the Password).
Once inside, players will have access to corporate emails, confidential documents, and hidden clues that will test their investigative skills. The ultimate goal is to unlock the secrets of Leviathan Corp by finding a hidden access code that reveals a classified file on the portal.
In KARMA: The Dark World, you play as Daniel McGovern, an agent for Leviathan Corp’s Thought Bureau. Your task is to dive dive into the psyche of a suspect and unravel their deepest, darkest secrets. But what starts as a routine investigation quickly spirals into a web of lies, manipulation, and personal crisis—forcing Daniel to question not just the case, but his own reality.
A release date is expected “soon” for KARMA: The Dark World, which is in development for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
