In spite of the August announcement of another delay for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, Paradox and The Chinese Room continue to keep the buzz going for the long-awaited follow-up to the 2004 original. The latest is a new video showcasing the personalities behind the Camarilla Court, giving viewers a glimpse of how Seattle’s Kindred interact with players.
The trailer introduces the foul-mouthed Benny, the quirky Tolly, the flighty Safia, and the imposing Lou. Players must learn how to interact with them to get precisely what they need. In fact, players can learn more about how they can interact with these characters in an August dev diary, where The Chinese Room’s Senior Narrative Designer and Writer, Sarah Longthorne, shared more about the dynamic dialogue systems for Bloodlines 2.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is currently in development for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series. Back in August, Paradox Interactive deputy CEO Matias Lilia stated that the decision to extend development from its previous Fall 2024 release date was in order to allow The Chinese Room to further polish Bloodlines 2. Lilia went on to say that the game is “in a good place right now”, with the teams deciding to prioritize polish over release date.
