PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series owners will finally have their own version of The Farm 51’s Chernobylite on April 21. The developer and publisher All in! Games also announced the Enhanced Version for the PC, as well as the first of four DLC packs, which will be available on the same day.
The upgrade to the next-gen version of Chernobylite and the PC Enhanced Edition will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners of the game through a free update. Both updates will introduce ray tracing and improved visuals. As is the norm, the next-gen versions specifically will add two new graphic profiles: 4K (Dynamic) 30 FPS and 1080p (Ultra Details) 60 FPS.
PS5 owners will also be able to enjoy the Haptic Feedback and additional features for DualSense Controllers, along with compatibility for the PlayStation’s Activity Card feature. In addition, there will be a physical version for PS5 owners available the same day as the digital version, courtesy of Perp Games.
Meanwhile, the “Blue Flames” DLC is the first of four additional content updates for 2022, and will be available across all platforms. It will offer a free content update called “Memories of You”, where players learn more about Tatyana and Igor’s backstory through new events and collectibles, a new weapon in the “Silent Assassin” crossbow, and a paid content back.
In case you missed it, Chernobylite is a science-fiction survival horror RPG that’s set in Chernobyl’s Exclusion Zone. You are Igor, a physicist and ex-employee of the Chernobyl Power Plant, who has returned to Pripyat to investigate the disappearance of his fiancée Tatyana, 30 years ago.
