Let’s be honest: a lot of these “x Simulator” games are kind of cheesy. But that’s part of the charm. Case in point: WildSphere and developer Unknown People Lab have recently released Night of the Dead Simulator to PlayStation, with Steam, Xbox and Switch following over the course of the month. As you might expect, you mow down hordes of the undead with a variety of weapons. Only this time, we get the unique addition of a bodycam-style perspective.
The story for Night of the Dead Simulator gets right to the point: the end of the human race is near. The zombie attack threatens our future, but there is hope in you, a soldier from DELTA team. You hold the cure in your hands. But you’ve got to make your way through the hordes in order to complete your goals and save the world.
But hey, why not have some fun messing around before you save humanity? The zombies are goofs, and you’re an expert in destruction with your six weapons. Make the most of what you’ve got around you, but don’t forget time’s of the essence. You can take the fight to the walking dead from either a third-person perspective, or use the bodycam POV for a more up close interaction.
That being said, you’ve got 17km² of explorable terrain for you to cover with cabins, destroyed towns, devastated military bases, communication points and more.
