Busy times for The Losers’ Club. Earlier this month, the gang delivered not one, but two book episodes on Stephen King‘s 2002 collection Everything’s Eventual. Last week, they checked into the Dolphin Hotel to meet up with John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson in 2007’s 1408. Now, they’re rounding out their coverage by revisiting TNT’s oft-forgotten anthology series Nightmares & Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Stephen King.
Join Losers Randall Colburn, Michael Roffman, and Jenn Adams as they take a wormhole back to 2006 to discuss more recently covered stories like “The Road Virus Heads North” and “Autopsy Room Four”, in addition to tales from the titular collection. Elsewhere, the three also discuss the series’ godawful CGI, the surprising physical turn of the late William Hurt, the enduring underdog appeal of Ron Livingston, and so much more.
Note: It should be noted this episode was originally recorded in June 2020 — right around the time they covered King’s 1993 collection Nightmares & Dreamscapes (a controversial stretch, some might say) — and has since been unlocked from The Barrens (Patreon).
Stream the episode below and return next week when the Losers kick off August with another installment of their On Writers series — this time talking to Experimental Film author Gemma Files. For further adventures, join the Losers’ Club over long days and pleasant nights via Apple Podcasts, Spotify, RadioPublic, Acast, Google Podcasts, and RSS. You can also unlock hundreds of hours of exclusive content in The Barrens (Patreon).
