With Torn Banner Studios’ co-op title No More Room in Hell 2 finally getting its release this October, the developer released a new trailer at Gamescom, giving fans a brief look at the zombie survival action. The trailer specifically showed off the game’s 8 player co-op gameplay, and a new area of the massive Power Plant map in the Church (with a sermon of doom played over the action to add that “final touch”).
No More Room in Hell 2 encourages players to approach completing objectives in different ways, utilizing strategy along with whatever equipment or weapons they are able to scavenge. Complete the objective, and be rewarded with more supplies and weapons to aid in your mission. In this case, your path through towards the gates of the power plant isn’t about racking up the highest zombie kill count.
As you hunt for gear in the darkness, you may find the Shotgun, which can cause a lot of damage but alert the zombies, or a Baseball Bat that can be used in melee to maintain stealth. As a method of crowd control, you can use explosives to create fires in the environment.
No More Room in Hell 2 will launch into Early Access on Steam this Halloween. Torn Banner plans on keeping the game in the service for at least a year. “Our goal for the full version is to have additional gameplay features and content that will round out the game experience, along with new maps, customization, firearms, melee weapons, tools, storylines and more.”
