Jordan Peele has made three movies to date, all of them passing $100 million at the domestic box office but none of them spawning sequels. Peele, instead, has continued to dream up fresh new nightmares for audiences to absorb, the latest of which is this year’s Nope.
Nope is just about to hit $150 million at the worldwide box office, and with the film now available to watch at home, Peele chats with The New York Times this week about what’s next. In the interview he seems to suggest that he’s not done with the Nope Universe just yet.
According to IMDb, Michael Busch plays the uncredited character “Nobody” in Jordan Peele’s Nope, a character who ended up being cut out of the movie – interesting to note, however, that “Nobody” was glimpsed in the movie’s first official trailer. Peele hints that the character’s story may be explored in some way, shape, or form in the near future. Peele tells The New York Times, “People are doing a lot of interesting detective work, is what’s going on.”
He continues, “The story of that character has yet to be told, I can tell you that. Which is another frustrating way of saying, I’m glad people are paying attention. I do think they will get more answers on some of these things in the future.”
“We’re not over telling all of these stories,” Peele adds.
Mind you, this doesn’t mean we should be expecting Nope 2, as there are any number of other ways to tell more stories in the movie’s universe. Stay tuned for more as we hear it…

In Nope, “Residents in a lonely gulch of inland California bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery.” Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out) reteams with Peele on this year’s movie, with the cast also including Steven Yeun (“The Walking Dead,” Mayhem) and Keke Palmer (“Scream”), plus Michael Wincott (The Crow), Barbie Ferreira and Brandon Perea.
Meagan Navarro was a huge fan of the film, writing in her review that “Jordan Peele takes on the summer blockbuster with soaring spectacle and scathing subtext.”
“Peele’s latest retools the summer blockbuster, nestling a fascinating indictment beneath accessible crowd-pleasing thrills,” Meagan’s 4-star rave review continues.
