OCZ has bulked up its latest selection of PCIe SSDs, unveiling the RevoDrive 3 Max IOPS and the RevoDrive 3 X2 Max IOPS. The X2 (shown above) comes in meaty 240GB and 960GB capacities and delivers 1.9GB/s reads and 1.7GB/s writes. In terms of IOPS, we’re looking at 245,000 — 15,000 more than it’s predecessor. The smaller RevoDrive 3 Max IOPS, appearing in 120GB and 480GB sizes, still holds its own with read and write speeds of just over 1GB/s and 0.95GB/s respectively. No word just yet on how much this performance boost is going to cost —- but if you’re looking for bargains, it could be worth waiting for OCZ’s TLC drives next year.
