With her star on the rise, Sadie Sink (Fear Street, “Stranger Things”) will next be seen in the film O’Dessa, being described as a rock opera that’s set against a post apocalyptic landscape!
Deadline reports today that Geremy Jasper (Patti Cake$) is writing and directing O’Dessa for Searchlight, “with original songs written and produced by Jasper and Jason Binnick.”
“Set in a post-apocalyptic future, O’Dessa is an original rock opera about a farm girl on an epic quest to recover a cherished family heirloom. Her journey leads her to a strange and dangerous city where she meets her one true love – but in order to save his soul, she must put the power of destiny and song to the ultimate test.”
“We are so excited to be collaborating with Geremy again,” said Searchlight Presidents Matthew Greenfield and David Greenbaum. “With O’Dessa, he brings extraordinary and visceral energy to a whole new cinematic landscape.”
Deadline notes that Sadie Sink will film O’Dessa in Croatia this coming May, before she returns to Hawkins to film the fifth – and final – season of Netflix’s hit series “Stranger Things.”
