Change sucks.
There are few logos that hit horror fans in the heart as hard as that of Orion Pictures, the legendary studio behind such classics as The Terminator, RoboCop, The Silence of the Lambs, The Addams Family, F/X, F/X2, Monkey Shines, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, and Clifford!
The studio had recently returned to the genre, releasing everything from The Belko Experiment to Pet, Wish Upon, The Poughkeepsie Tapes, Anna and the Apocalypse, The Prodigy, Gretel & Hansel, and even the Child’s Play remake.
While the future of the brand is unclear, they are signaling a major shift with the unveiling of a brand new logo.
They also share the new company vision:
“Orion focuses on inclusive storytelling in film through developing, producing and acquiring feature films that amplify underserved voices both in front of and behind the camera.”
It’s always hard to say goodbye.
What do you think of the new logo?
