Patrick Lussier, editor of Scream 1-3, New Nightmare, & Halloween H20, and director of My Bloody Valentine 3D, Drive Angry 3D, and the more recent Trick, is back with Play Dead.
Screen Daily reports this afternoon that Bailee Madison (The Strangers: Prey at Night) will star in the upcoming horror movie, which Voltage Pictures is launching at Cannes.
Play Dead centers on “criminology student Chloe (Madison), who fakes her own death to break into a local morgue to steal a piece of evidence that ties her younger brother to a crime. Once inside she discovers the coroner is using the business as a front to sell body parts. When the coroner discovers Chloe is not dead a game of cat-and-mouse ensues.”
Jerry O’Connell, Anthony Turpel, Chris Butler, Chris Lee and Jorge-Luis Pallo co-star.
Patrick Lussier directs a script written by Adam Mason and Simon Boyes (Blood River, Song Bird and Hangman). The film is currently in post-production, Screen Daily notes.
Producers include Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down, The Strangers: Prey at Night).
