While we wait for “The Boys” Season 3 this summer, the show’s universe will expand even further with a college-set spinoff series, and we’ve got some casting news today.
The live-action spinoff series from Amazon Studios is set at America’s only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes (run by Vought International).
Deadline reports that Patrick Schwarzenegger (The Staircase), Sean Patrick Thomas (The Tragedy of Macbeth) and Marco Pigossi (Invisible City) have joined the show’s cast.
Patrick Schwarzenegger was recently seen in the horror movie Daniel Isn’t Real.
Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann and Shelley Conn are previously announced series regulars.
Amazon promises that the untitled spinoff will be “an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It’s part college show, part Hunger Games—with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys.”
Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters are showrunners for the untitled series.
Producers include Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg.
