The day has finally arrived for PC gamers to get their hands on Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding Director’s Cut. The acclaimed (and updated) action title is available today on Steam and the Epic Games Store today for $39.99, while those who own the previous version of Death Stranding can upgrade to the Director’s Cut for $9.99.
As you might expect, Death Stranding Director’s Cut on the PC “expands upon the award-winning adventure with an array of new features, including extended storyline, new stealth missions, combat abilities, inventory, buildable structures, cosmetic options, and more.” Those new features include ultrawide support for monitors and higher frame rates, as well as Intel’s new XE Super Sampling technology in a future update that will “further enhance the atmospheric adventure with an unrivalled graphical experience”.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut also includes new story beats and missions, including the Ruined Factory, a mysterious underground compound. Sam Bridges has also been given a few new tricks, including a new dropkick ability and the non-lethal Maser Gun.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut is also available on the PlayStation 5. The original Death Stranding is available on the PlayStation 4 and PC. While you’re waiting for the download to finish, check out our original review of Death Stranding.
