Iranian-American filmmaker Bo Mirhosseni is getting behind the camera for the political horror History of Evil, which will star “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and In The Heights‘ Stephanie Beatriz alongside “The Vampire Diaries” actor Paul Wesley, says Deadline.
In the film, a family on the run from a corrupt state takes refuge in a safe house with an evil past – a terrifying last stop on a near-future Underground Railroad.
The film is being produced by genre specialists XYZ Films, Under The Shadow outfit Two & Two Pictures and Jake Siegel. Beatriz and Wesley will serve as executive producers.
Filming is being lined up for spring 2022 and Shudder will release at a later date.
