Fans of American McGee’s Alice are still holding out hope that we’ll see a return of the series. But in the meantime, Long Shan Jin Shu has something to ease the pain with a brand-new Alice figure based on her appearance from Alice: Madness Returns.
Pre-orders for the 1/6 scale figure are up on BigBadToyStore, with a release date of Q1 2023. The figure of Alice is fully articulated, and is dressed in a fabric costume. The figure comes with five interchangeable hands, chess board stand, an Imp, the Cheshire Cat, a pure copper knife and the Hobby Horse weapon to recreate your favourite scenes from Alice: Madness Returns. The figure will set you back $249.99 USD.
If that’s too rich for your blood, you can always spring for the game that the figure is based on, which returned to Steam earlier this year.
As for that elusive third game, McGee is still plugging away at Alice: Asylum. In fact, he’s been posting regular updates to his Patreon, showing off several concept art pieces and design documentation. In a recent posting, McGee hopes to have the 1.1 version of the game’s Design Bible completed “for the end of 2022-Early 2023.” Hopefully EA is listening.
