Back in November, developer Broken Bird Games announced that their psychological horror title Luto would be arriving later this year for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. That’s still very much the plan, and to show it, the developers released a new trailer for the game over the weekend during the Future Games Show. If you’re a sucker for atmosphere in your game environments, this new trailer will feed that need just fine.
Luto centres on a person who, pained by loss and the resulting mental anguish, is trapped in their own home. Finding a way to leave will result in a series of paths that will “challenge your senses.” That in turn involves exploring the pain caused by the loss of a loved one, the horror of the insecurity to the deepest darkness hidden behind anxiety and depression. That anxiety in Luto will, in turn, be explored by different phobias, including monophobia, claustrophobia, agoraphobia, nyctophobia and more.
