If you’re looking for a psychological horror title that incorporates a bit of detective work, then solo dev Hitori De Productions’ new game Supernatural might be something to check out. The game has just been released onto Steam (complete with a new trailer), and includes a limited-time 10% discount until July 22.
Supernatural centres around one Detective Wyatt, who receives an email from a young man regarding the mysterious disappearance of his housemaid, Mrs. Susan. The housemaid had previously taken care of the man’s house and his pregnant fiancée while he struggled with work. Determined to uncover the truth, Detective Wyatt ventures into the unknown, determined to uncover what really happened to Mrs. Susan. However, as he does, Wyatt realizes that the darkness lurking within the shadows holds secrets far more terrifying than he could have ever imagined.
Focusing on puzzles, Supernatural also employs the gameplay mechanic of using your microphone to have you communicate with the supernatural entity within the house. However, the game will also pick up other sounds, which will determine the severity of supernatural occurrences. The louder you are, the game will prepare scarier events for you. Depending on your choice of actions, you’ll have three different endings.
