Okay, so that August 20th release date for Perp Games and Deadbolt Interactive’s Survival Horror title Pneumata didn’t quite come to fruition. However, after spending the time to polish the game, the game is finally out now on PC via Steam (with a limited time 25% discount until September 26th), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The physical release that was originally scheduled for September 13th is still to come.
The tenants of Clover Hill are going missing or left in pieces. As David, a former detective, you must unravel the truth that lies within the town, recover your fragmented memories, or succumb to the horrors that lurk in the shadows.
Designed and developed by a solo developer as a “passion project”, Pneumata features not only psychological horror, but also a bit of cosmic horror to cover the gamut. Using your detective skills, you’ll examine crime scenes and piece together clues and evidence in order to solve a series of gruesome murders. All the while, you’ll explore a realistic and gritty apartment building, uncovering hidden areas and pathways. The horrors you face are unpredictable, requiring you to either fight or hide. Luckily, you can use the environment to create distractions to give yourself the edge.
