While nothing’s official just yet, it appears that Bethesda and id Software are giving props to Quake‘s 25th anniversary with a remaster. A listing for Quake has appeared on the ESRB website for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series.
No further details have surfaced, but you can expect that once QuakeCon kicks off later today at 2PM ET that the remake will be headed by MachineGames, who have demonstrated their skill with resurrecting the Wolfenstein series. Also no word on if the remaster will include Trent Reznor’s score.
Also expected today are updates regarding the upcoming Deathloop, Fallout 76 and DOOM Eternal. QuakeCon runs from August 19 until August 21.
