With “Freddy’s Nightmares” now streaming only on Screambox, Netflix is also getting in on the Freddy Fun with three new Freddy-related movies coming to the service this March.
First up, Wes Craven’s original A Nightmare on Elm Street brings Robert Englund’s Freddy to Netflix on March 1, the very same day Jackie Earle Haley’s Freddy also comes to Netflix.
Yes, both A Nightmare on Elm Street 1984 and A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 slice their way into Netflix on March 1, allowing for an “original vs. remake” double feature.
You don’t need me to tell you which movie wins that battle…
Also on March 1, the mashup fight film Freddy vs. Jason joins the two Elm Street movies. That one pairs well with Friday the 13th 2009, which is already now streaming on Netflix.
So to recap, once March 1 arrives, two Nightmare on Elm Street movies, one Friday the 13th movie, and Freddy vs. Jason will all be available for streaming. Not bad, Netflix!
