Despite the delay, Bethesda still had time to give fans of their upcoming vampire title Redfall a treat during Summer Game Fest with a brand-new gameplay trailer. The game is still expected to be released in the first half of 2023 for the Xbox Series and PC via Steam.
Redfall is described as an open-world, co-op first-person shooter from the minds behind Prey and Dishonored at Arkane. The game takes place in the island town of Redfall, Massachusetts, which is under siege by a legion of vampires who have blocked out the sun and cut the citizens off from the outside world. Allying with a handful of survivors, you’ve got to unravel the mystery behind the vampires’ appearance while also doing a bit of slaying.
These aren’t ordinary vampires, however. Created by science experiments gone wrong and gifted with psychic abilities, Redfall‘s vampires will challenge players and their squad to get creative. You will choose from a team of diverse heroes – each with their own character-specific abilities—to overcome the vampire legion and their followers.
